Certifications are a procedure that guarantees the ethical behaviour of companies in matters of labour relations and the welfare of their employees and in the environmentally friendly production of fruit. This helps us obtain a final product that results from a production process that meets all the labour standards and laws and respects the environment.
This certification has allowed us to establish a fair commercial relationship, providing decent working conditions, thus conserving the environment, while supporting the development and future of our workers and the community.
We have made improvements in responsible, ethical business practices in the supply chain, allowing us to reduce paperwork and save time and money, while having power to manage our information effectively.
In Banafrut we have adopted the Business Social Compliance Initiative, which is committed to improving the working conditions of employees. It is one of the pillars of our company, enabling us to be more efficient.
With the Rainforest Alliance certification, we can offer comprehensive standards of agricultural management and the traceability system, allowing us to ensure that both the certified ingredients of a product as well as the products themselves, which bear the seal of a small green frog, come from farms or groups of farms with proper management, in which workers, wildlife and communities are protected.

The GLOBALG.A.P. standard for fruits covers all the stages of production, from pre–harvest activities – such as soil management and applications of pesticides – to the post–harvest product handling, packaging and storage, thus ensuring that our bananas achieve the highest levels of safety and quality, and verifying that they have been produced sustainably, while respecting the health and welfare of workers and protecting the environment.
Working together to sustainably improve the conditions of rights at work and responsibly accompanying suppliers, to be actors in their focus on improvement, Initiative Clause Sociale (ICS) is a group of experts representing involved, motivated signs, near the field. ICS promotes responsible business, working on the social responsibility of business–store manufacturers and distribution in the importation of products from countries at risk.
