Products, which come from our farms, bearing the Fairtrade logo bring the slogan of fair compensation to our workers and communities, influencing them positively.
Since 2007, in Banafrut we have worked together with this organization, becoming one of the first Fairtrade banana producers in the world.

The funds received by our workers are managed by corporations, which are in charge or leading, caring for and managing the premium received and use it in project to improve their quality of life by investing in social, economic and environmental development.
In this process, we have excellent partners, such as MACK, PRIMAFRUT, AGROFAIR, SAINSBURY and WAITROSE with 100% Fairtrade bananas, which have allowed us to intensify our social–responsibility programs, giving continuity to the large housing program previously created by Fundafrut.
But much remains to be done. Infrastructure, education, health care and recreational opportunities may be the result of an increased supply of our Fairtrade bananas to markets suck as the UK and other countries, thus making a visible change that inspires and rewards.
Our trade partners, whose bananas are 100% Fairtrade, acquire high–quality fruit. Not only are they able to offer an excellent product, but they are also making a great difference in the life of the Banafrut workers.
There is an annual fair trade budget, managed by employee representatives and company representatives, which is used for scholarships for workers and their families; improvement plans and the construction of new housing; health plans in dentistry, ophthalmology, maternity, early childhood and the elderly; sports programs in inter–farm soccer and volleyball championships, and different contributions to communities to improve the educational infrastructure, such as kindergartens and schools. Likewise, there are support programs in transportation, therapy and recreational activities for special–needs children.
